NEWS & UPCOMING EVENTS
Desire in Motion: The Art of Woo screening at The Paradise Theatre
Join us for the first Desire in Motion screening on April 16, 2025 as we celebrate National Canadian Film Day with Helen Lee’s romantic comedy, The Art of Woo (2001).
Helen Lee and other special guests will be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening. This screening will be preceded by Helen Lee’s newest short film, Tenderness (2024), which premiered at TIFF last fall.
The Spring 2025 issue of GLEANING is here!
A lot has changed since the release of Issue 01 in December and the world feels like an unpredictable and impossible place to navigate at times. I hope that while you’re reading this zine, GLEANING can be a small offering of peace, safety, and inspiration. As the new year settles in, let’s take good care of each other. Films mentioned in Issue 02 include Anora, Blue Velvet, Exotica, Hard Truths, Indecent Proposal, The Living End, The Skin I Live In, Universal Language, and more!
For the first time ever, physical zines can be purchased in-person at Bay Street Video in Toronto.
GLEANING is also now part of the TIFF Film Reference Library collection! You can read Issues 01 and 02 during regular library hours.
